Well I guess I can say that I'm 30 years old and I live in the lovely state of Michigan. My favorite color is orange-yellow. (you could probably figure this out if you look at all of my favorite stuff)! I recently received my Ph.D. in crop and soil sciences at MSU for making genetically moidified plants for enhanced phytoremediation (that is using plants to clean contaminated soil). I am currently employed at MSU as a Post Doctoral researcher but I am also looking for jobs, especially those that employ molecular techniques for plant improvement. When I'm at home for fun, I often play video games when it's not nice out and hike in the woods or work in the garden when it is nice outside. Sometimes I even get to do a little spelunking. Unfortunately there aren't too many caves in Michigan but back home in Indiana, where my family is, there are tons. I like to do photography (good old chemical as well as digital)as well as a little bit of sculpture using paper mache and sculpey (sorta like bakeable play-doh). I also like creative writing and have written some science fiction based short stories and a few poems I may eventually put up here. In any case I have many varied interests although my time these days is more limited so I have less time to devote to each of them. I still go through them all on a semi-regular basis.
In terms of family I have 4 parents (it's pretty complicated but both of my biological parents re-married). I'm also an only child which is both a good thing and a bad thing. Good when I was a kid-all the presents were for me but bad now that I'm older. I do have nice step-siblings and a Stepsister that I'm particularly close to. She has three kids *FIVE now!* so sometimes I do fun kid stuff with their family. I am now married to a wonderful man who is a nurse.
